Here's what we believe, how we work, and what we won't do.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Most websites are too big. They were built to impress a stakeholder, not to serve a reader, and they grew a page every time someone had an opinion.
We think a website is finished when there's nothing left to remove. Every page has to earn its place; if it can't, it goes.
We are two people. We take one project at a time and say no to most of them. It's the only way we know to do work we're not embarrassed by.
OUR FOUR PHASES
- 01 Discovery We find the one thing the site is for.
- 02 Architecture We decide what stays and what goes.
- 03 Build We ship it static, fast, and finished.
- 04 Care We keep it small as it ages.
WHAT WE WON'T DO
- We won't add a page you'll never update.
- We won't write copy nobody will read.
- We won't build a carousel.
- We won't install five analytics tools.
- We won't make it move just because it can.
- We won't ship something we'd be embarrassed to link to.
